The Longing For Infinity

their final conversation on death row - i like the colour palette
blackdog: Indeed - I wait in the wings for the days before the petals drop ;o)
How melancholy. I like it. I really like the flatness of the background and simplicity of the vase, and of course, the removal of color that you always do so well.
blackdog: Thaks Jewlya - melancholy was my aim ;o)
Excellent. richard
blackdog: Thanks Richard ;o)
We had a vase of white roses for the wedding and they ended up like this...never occurred to me to photograph them in their final moments before going in the recycling bin. I should have done cos I like this pic Mike
blackdog: Done with studio lights Bill - but worth a go next time.
More affecting than the previous one. Not sure about cropping the bottom of the vase.
blackdog: I am sure about the bottom of the vase - where do you stop? Show the vase, you show the table top and you give depth - plus do you show the table legs or crop them? If you include them then you include the floor and then you have a totally different mood to the shot. Certainly better than yesterdays, but a work in progress!
Liking
blackdog: Thanks ;o)
These certainly have a very melancholic air - probably because they know it's not long till the bin men come! I like the subtle, faded pinks contrasting with the dull grey.
Ingrid
blackdog: Thanks Ingrid. Yes the day before the petals fell ;o)
that hint of colour works so well in creating the mood
blackdog: Thanks Paul ;o)
Excellent. I like the way you kept the vase off centre. Very effective
blackdog: Actually, I have cheated and tacked a bit of background on - didn't look right central!
I like the way you have treated the colours here, Mike. Reminds me of that Sam Taylor-Wood video.
blackdog: Thanks Chad - did think of bleaching the colour away bit by bit each day over 6 months but that kind of thing is so passé don't you think?
Very agreeable Mike: I love that last trace of colour
blackdog: Thanks Chris - did think of bleaching the colour away bit by bit each day over 6 months but that kind of thing is so passé don't you think?
Excellent shot Mike. I like the slight hint of colour!
blackdog: Thanks richard ;o)
well i have never seen dead flowers look so good Mike,
blackdog: Thanks Tim ;o)
Totally diferent than the one from yesterday, love the lighting...composition is jusr great, love the faded colors.
I like this, I think dying flowers have a lot more texture to offer.
