I KNEW you'd come round to colour one day Mike. Lovely shot!
blackdog: Only a dab Chris - thanks ;o)
oh YES, this has your trademark mike
blackdog: Indeed it does Jude, thank you ;o)
Amazing how the snow managed to miss that one yellow daffodil as it looked yearningly out to freedom on the other side.
Ingrid
blackdog: No intervention on my part - honest ;o)
Up to your old tricks again I see Blackdog.
blackdog: Indeed Catalpa - old dogs can't learn new ones ;o)
This only not snow covered daffodil was waiting for you to shoot it's portrait!
Beautiful shot Mike. Well done!
blackdog: Thanks Richard ;o)
Again I like this subtle use of colour in this challenging area of work. This is actually quite delightful, Mike.
blackdog: Thanks Chad - surprised, thought it would be too "sentimental" for you?
Great composition! I like how the fence draws the eye towards the daffodil
blackdog: Thanks Stephen ;o)
Mike, I just stared at this one, I love it, beautifull shot, that touch of yellow belongs there, a likey to me, thanks.
blackdog: Thank you Astrid, thought you might like it - makes up for the vanishing blue line ;o)
great little yellow detail in an all B&W photo
blackdog: Thank you Chantal ;o)
The single daffodil is great Mike well done to you, love it
blackdog: Thank you Tracy ;o)
lol - poor daffy thought that spring had sprung and got dumped on by snow! mal
blackdog: So it goes - the chirpy chappy was soon watching the sun rise! ;o)
very nice details. great composition.
blackdog: Thank you ;o)
This wild abandoned use of selective colour is getting to be a habit Mike. But, dammit, it is perfect for this picture
blackdog: I know, I know. Absolutely shameless - will try and keep it in check ;o) But just had to do it on this one, thanks Bill ;o)
One nod from the daf' and a nod from me. richard
blackdog: nods all round then Richard, I'll get them in ;o)
never really think about selective coloring but the more i look at your fine examples the more i think hhmmmm i know just the shot
blackdog: Thanks Tim - I always feel it is important not to overdo the area you colour - but that is just my taste. I look forward to seeing your approach ;o)
Love the angle and the sense I get of sheltering from the weather. The selective colour works well, too. (:o)
blackdog: Thanks Roz - glad you liked it ;o)
B&W n yellow..Nice...This little flower is a tough fella...still alive in the cold...
blackdog: Thanks Fausto ;o)
Really clever little shot this.. like it very much. :o) John
blackdog: Thanks John ;o)
Nice play with color - the yellow is a touch centered, but I love how the snow is creeping up to the flower.
blackdog: Yes I agree - had to trim a little off the RHS which didn't help!
