Just in case you are having trouble reading the shot, I am stood on a pathe between two huge yew tree hedges.
I have also been interviewed for a web based Arts Magazine about my recent exhibition of paintings in London. For the really curious follow this link

You must have been lying on your back. Unusual point of view, makes for an interesting shot. A bit late now, so I will look at the link tomorrow. Off to bed now!
Ingrid
blackdog: No stood looking up! Bet you fogot the link ;o)
Now this is one image that makes one think, very interesting visual!!
blackdog: I try and keep people thinking with my work - not always successfully, but sometimes it works ;o)
This reminds me of the Gestaltists, in fact I had to work to find you laying on your back looking up, not two figures facing each other. I like it, Mike!
blackdog: No actually stood up, and I am 6'4" which gives an idea of just how big the hedge was - more like a canyon!
I have read the interview and looked at the pictures. I particularly like Paradise lost, and the falstaff picture is very interesting. You have completely blurred the face of the middle figure and I wonder what the significance of this is? Is it that he could be any one of us?
Anyway I like this photograph and the unusual angle.
blackdog: Thanks for that Bill - the painting you liked got a lot of interest and the colours in Falstaff seemed very popular. He was wearing his face on his T Shirt ;o) So no, no one you know ;o)
Beautiful capture. I like the angle and the natural framing here!
blackdog: Thanks richard ;o)
This must have been Ingrids plane when she went to Berlin!!Arrr you missed her so much I can tell
Will check your link out later off to work now Great framing btw
blackdog: No - nice idea, but this was a few weeks before ;o) Thanks Tracy ;o)
Great shot, the tones of the sky are really nice.
blackdog: Thanks Astrid ;o)
Love this one Mike. I hadn't worked out that they were hedges, but I got the sense of looking at the sky from the bottom of a canyon. I love the almost dead straight line of the vapour trail.
P.S. Enjoyed reading the interview. I'll never look at a hoodie in quite the same way again.
blackdog: Thanks Ian - glad you found the read worthwhile. I was pleasantly surprised as I don't like talking about my work.
A fascinating and delightful shot, Mike. This works well for me because you know how I feel about straight lines and that curve of the hedge...wow. They clouds in the sky add a turbulent drama to the feast.
blackdog: It's a strange one isn't it - almost like being in a large trap. A touch of E A Poe perhaps?
impressive interview mike
was Ingrid on that plane - good job she didn't throw something out of the window lol
blackdog: Hi Jude - no not this one as it was taken earlier in the year ;o) Glad you liked the interview ;o)
Very nice Mike: there's nothing like a change of perspective to turn the mundane into the extraordinary
blackdog: Thanks Chris ;o) How did you get to Germany so quick???
Great and usual angle.
blackdog: Thanks Scarlet ;o)
Interesting interview! And an interesting shot too. It really needs to huge hedges to work.
blackdog: Thanks Martin - they are really massive, I am 6'4" and I was standing not lying down as some suggest, just to give you an idea!
Yew have definitely yewsed the the local you bushes to yewr advantage. An unexpected image Mike. richard
blackdog: I think yew are extracting the Michael!
I second patrick
blackdog: Thank you Bhumika ;o)
Very interesting angle...well seen!
blackdog: Thanks Stephen ;o)
