I love the reflection of the trees.
blackdog: Thank you Helen - they make the shot, don't they.
I recognise this! It is stunning in b/w. Love the composition with the little patch of pebbles in the foreground and that wonderful reflection.
Ingrid
blackdog: Thank you Ingrid. Yes lots of good shots this day languishing on the hard drive.
This is a brilliant image Mike. I truly wish I'd taken this!
blackdog: Thank you Chris - praise indeed from Mr Landscape!
Very, very cool, Mike. Bravo!
blackdog: Thanks Ginnie LOL I think its a bit bright ;o)
This works well in b&w, Mike. Love the reflection of the trees in the water. Wish the foreground pebbles were in focus but, hey, that's near perfect.
blackdog: Thanks Chad. Never really considered the need to have them in focus - interesting thought.
Just amazing. That reflection is just perfect Mike.
blackdog: Thank you Scarlet ;o)
Like the flow of this image Mike.
blackdog: Thanks Bernie - was actually a bit worried about cropping the bend in the river to bring the trees more or less central, but it seems to have worked.
Wonderful B&W, the composition is great ! Thumbs up !!
blackdog: Hey thanks Zeb, glad you liked it.
I like how the composition makes it feel like its wrapping around- it makes my eye move around the picture very easily. The reflection of the trees in the water is also a nice touch, good work.
blackdog: Thanks for visiting and the lovely comment. Glad you liked it. Mike
Great shot. I know Exmouth well but can't place this.
blackdog: You're quite right Bill, it's Budleigh Salterton - went on to Exmouth later and all the photos went in the same file!
The clear layered composition reminds me of that b/w photographer you pointed me to a while ago.
blackdog: Yes Michael Kenna, I actually took this before I came across him, but you can see why I like his work.
Beautiful, really like this Mike.
blackdog: Thanks Bridge ;o)
Great landscape shot, very much to my taste.
blackdog: No surprise there then! ;o)
