These mechanical figures by Tamara Kvesitadze were shown in the Georgian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale.   Should perhaps point out that the figures rotate and the discs intersect with the rotation.

I think you turn 100 today. Congrats! This is an excellent shot to celebrate with. I like the clear arrangement contrasting with the busy stripes.
blackdog: Thanks Martin - sometimes I feel older!

Congratulations! What an interesting concept it's only when I looked a bit more closely I saw the intersecting disks. Nicely captured.

The creativity of these artists just astounds me, Mike. You've captured this very well...and with the kind of dark lighting that you like. smile

Happy 100!
blackdog: I do love saluting other people's creativity, and always pleased if I can bring their work to a wider audience. You will have to help me blow the candles out ;o)
Congrats on your century, a fine shot to bring up the ton.

Is it 100 already? It only seems like yesterday since I was pulling your leg about spending all your spare time on SC! These are fantastic sculptures very well captured. You get an interesting effect when you move the scroll bar up and down at the side of the screen - the different sections appear to move!
Ingrid
blackdog: Thank Ingrid - ouch that hurts my eyes! Its like being in a 60's disco with the strobe too fast. Don't eat all my birthday cake before I get home ;o)

Great artistic shot ! Strange subject !
blackdog: Thanks Zeb - people kissing - not strange surely ;o)
Thanks for stopping by my aminus3 blog yesterday or I may never have seen your wonderful photos!

I love the lighting and b&w tones on this one. The subject is a great work of art too which doesn't hurt but you have caught it brilliantly.
(PS - If you want to see some of my own mono photos its best to click on my portfolio page at the top.)
blackdog: Thanks for returning the visit ;o) - in all honesty I was responding to your comment on my aminus page but the auto fill in used my shutterchance address.

Will pop over and see you B&W work now ;o)
