Absolutely charming: a wonderful edifice
blackdog: Indeed - but a pretty poor picture taken from some distance.

Oh yes, but no 'GREEN and pleasant land'!
(Chris seems to have slept well, his comments sound so positive today- whereas we in Germany had a terrible night with thunderstorm for several hours, floods, broken trees, wet cellars ...)
blackdog: Sorry only on Sundays ;o)

The weather is changing here too - we could do with some rain, but I will pass on the thunder.
A fine church Mike. Where is this?
blackdog: Good question Bill, somewhere in Wiltshire SE of Bath maybe Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Devizes.

I am always on the lookout for an opportunity to say that your picture is not straight. This might come close but I can't be sure. The hunt continues.
blackdog: I did check this one Chad - it is a crop from a shot taken at distance so the parallax is affecting the tower. This combined with the sloping ground suggest a tilt, but poplars and the telegraph pole are nicely perpendicular.
Less contrast than your usual work but interesting subject for sure.

A lovely scene. Might this be Chipping Campden?
If this is a small crop from a larger image then it has come out quite well Mike, nice church tower.
lovely Mike...
