an unusual point of view on Bath Abbey! The back is often as beautiful as the entrance.
blackdog: Yes, I think I prefer it, but that may just be the novelty. So many photos from the front.

A classic view Mike
blackdog: One I usually only see in silhouette, this was the first chance I had to take it with the light behind me.
This lends the abbey some elevation. Which it does not normally enjoy Mike. I like that perfect sky.
blackdog: Thanks Chad I usually walk this way in the afternoon so see the abbey in silhouette. This was an early morning excursion to meet Tiff so took advantage of the light being behind me for once.
It looks massive and magnificent here.
blackdog: It is indeed rather wonderful.
I've only been to Bath once and know precisely where this is, but you have picked a fine viewpoint Mike and it's nice to see it in mono.
blackdog: Most photos are of the main entrance, I rather liked this back view.
very nicely done, Mike. i like the fine, upright spires.
blackdog: Thanks Ayush - reaching for heaven.

The pictures I have seen, shows the front. So I can claim it is a unusual POV as well smile
blackdog: Thanks Louis, always keen to see the other side of the argument. Have a good weekend.
